Age restrictions GOC 2012

Juveniles I 2003 or later both partners
Juveniles II 2001 or 2002 the older partner (one partner may be younger)
Junior I 1999 or 2000 the older partner (one partner may be younger)
Junior II 1997 or 1998 the older partner (one partner may be younger)
Youth 1994 to 1996 the older partner (one partner may be younger)
Rising Star 1993 or before the older partner (one partner may be younger)

Conditions of participation 2012

Senior modern couples, adult modern and latin couples qualified for the following day have to pay an additional entry fee.
A participation without confirmation will not be possible. In the event of television coverage or video recording the competitors agree that the rights to any fee from such productions will vest solely with the GOC-organizers. All data will be taken on file. Own video-recordings of any kind is only allowed with licence.


WDSF Dress regulations GOC 2012

The WDSF dress regulations (see www.worlddancesport.org) apply to all competitions. Couples which are dressed against the IDSF dress regulations are not allowed to dance or get no marks in the first round.


WDSF Restrictions of syllabus GOC 2012

When violating the WDSF restrictions of syllabus couples of the age group "Juveniles I und II" will be disqualified (www.worlddancesport.org).


Doping controls GOC 2012

Information from Mr. Ko de Mooy (Chairman WDSF Anti-Doping Commission):
Doping controls can and will take place at various competitions during the GOC 2012.. The competitions to be tested will be decided by the WDSF/DTV Doping Control Team (DCT).
For all WDSF competitions the WDSF Anti-Doping Code 2012 is applicable (see www.worlddancesport.org, Anti-Doping Commission). Completion of the WDSF Forms of Consent 2012 is mandatory for participants.
For all other GOC competitions the NADA (national German Anti-Doping Agency) Anti-Doping Rules are applicable (see www.tanzsport.de - download - Anti-Doping).
By registration for the competition(s) each and every participant as well as athlete support personnel are deemed to have agreed to and accepted the terms and conditions of afore mentioned anti-doping regulations.


Registration 2012

No registration without ticket purchase or entry fee order (entry fee 30 EUR).
When nominating couples must give dates of birth for both partners.


Participation in Rising Star competitions 2012


Allowed: Couples in A/S class
Not allowed: place 1 to 50 of the WDSF ranking list


Participation in A-class competitions 2012

In Adult A, Senior I A and II A competitions at the GOC, only couples of the second highest national category of the national WDSF member federation with A-class competition book are allowed to participate.

Senior I A and Senior II A couples are not allowed to participate if the couple is listed in the WDSF ranking list Senior I + II at place 1 to 50 (15.07.2012).

Senior II A1 couples from Italy are not allowed to dance.

This will be exactly controlled at the check-in.

Couples without competition book are only allowed to start in A-class competitions at the GOC with a class-confirmation from their national WDSF DanceSport federation (not from the club).

Without competition book or class-confirmation given by the national WDSF member federation a participation in A-class competitions at the GOC is not possible.

Professional Competitions at the GOC

The organisation committee GOC and the WDSF have decided to organise in 2012 all professional tournaments under the umbrella of WDSF PD and the new founded PD (Professional Devision) in Germany.
To increase the attraction of these evenings, there is in the standard evening a small professional latin Seque competition and accordingly in the latin evening a professional standard Seque competition.

law for the protection of the youth

Sporting events in Germany are subject to German law.

German law applies, especially the law for the protection of the youth, according to § 5 JuSchG dance competitions are subject to it.

We respect the right of children and youths for physical integrity and will not accept any form of violence against children, be it in a physical, psychological or sexual way. Any offence will be prosecuted and charges will be filed.

We also point out that the presence of children (under the age of 14) without the company of a person having the care and custody of the child or a legal guardian is not allowed. In company of a person having the care and custody of the child or a legal guardian children under the age of 14 are allowed to attend until 10 p.m., youths under the age of 16 until 12 a.m.

Alcoholic beverages or tobacco products are not to be given to children and youths.

Furthermore, we let you know that changing clothes in the competition halls is not allowed. Please use the provided changing rooms.

If we observe any violence against children or youths like for example beating, shaking or screaming, through coaches, parents or attendants, we will exercise our domestic authority and expel the involved parties, including the affected dancers, from further attending the GOC. If necessary, the affected dance couple will be excluded from participating in further competitions.
