The largest dance tournament in the world is also a victim of the Corona pandemic.

The 34th edition of the German Open Championships (GOC), which was to take place from 11 to 15 August 2020 in the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle (KKL) Stuttgart, is cancelled."After the state government banned the staging of all major sporting events with spectators until 31 August on 2 May, we were left with no room for manoeuvre in our decisions," explained Wilfried Scheible, Managing Director of the German Open Championships Tanz Event Management GmbH, after a telephone conference with those responsible on Monday evening.
