WDSF Grand Slam Latin

During the Highlight and last competition of the 34th GOC it really burned in the Beethoven Hall. The occasion: the final of the Grand Slam in the Latin dances, which had already started on Friday with 183 couples. It was obvious to the couples and the audience how hungry they were for the GOC again after the long Corona break. They were all rewarded with a fantastic atmosphere in the Stuttgart fire cauldron - and not only in the final. Already in the round of 48 there was a great atmosphere in the hall, to which certainly not only the music selection in the Paso Doble contributed. During the semifinals the hall was already full and the first standing ovations could be seen.

In the final the reigning World Champions Marius-Andrei Balan/Khrystyna Moshenska really turned up the heat and were rewarded with their third GOC gold. Charles-Guillaume Schmitt/Elena Salikhova from France won the silver medal. The third place on the podium went to Edgar Marcos Borjas/Alina Nowa from Poland.
