World champions clean up
Dimitrii Kalistov/Luna Maria Albanese danced to victory in the Juniors II Latin from the very beginning. In June, they had already won the World Championships in their age group. At the GOC, three more World Championship finalists joined Kalistov/Albanese in the final round, plus four (!) couples, so that scores from one to eight had to be given. Kalistov/Albanese scored 53 out of 55 possible ones, a clear victory for the Bremen couple. Second place in all dances went to the runners-up Andrei Claudiu Sasebes/Iulia Alexia Ababei. Richards Krivins/Marija Golubeva, third in the World Championships, were beaten by Pranas Mitkus/Juste Janciunaite, tenth in the World Championships. A total of 105 couples started, so that the Junior II tournament had the largest field among the "U16" tournaments.
