Competition rules 2026

All NON-WDSF-competitions of the GOC are organized according to the rules of the WDSF. The approval for the implementation according to the rules of the WDSF was granted by the German Sports Director Ivo Münster.

The registration fee must be paid once per competition. A participation without confirmation will not be possible. In the event of television coverage or video recording the competitors agree that the rights to any fee from such productions will vest solely with the GOC-organizers. All data will be taken on file.

Registration can only be made via the registration portal. The registration fee must be paid in advance.

For registration both partners have to give their MINs (WDSF Member ID Number). If you don't know your MIN, you may find it at WDSF List of Couples.

Exemptions according to WDSF Rules (WDSF World Ranking List 01.08.2026)

Allowed: Couples in A/S class
Not allowed: place 1 to 50 of the WDSF ranking lists

Only couples that have never reached final at any of the PD World or Continental Championship, World Cup or World Super Grand Prix Competitions may participate at “PD Open Rising Stars Competitions”.

In Adult A competitions at the GOC, only couples of the second highest national category of the national WDSF member federation with A-class competition book are allowed to participate.

Adult A couples are not allowed to participate if the couple

This will be exactly controlled at the check-in.

Couples without competition book are only allowed to start in A-class competitions at the GOC with an A class-confirmation from their national WDSF DanceSport federation (not from the club).

Without competition book or class-confirmation given by the national WDSF member federation a participation in A-class competitions at the GOC is not possible.
