The Grand Slam Standard Final was eagerly awaited. Last year's winner had moved to the professional ranks and two other finalists from last year were no longer competing. The World Games had taken place in Wuxi a week earlier, and some of the participants were also on the dance floor in the Beethoven Hall on Friday evening. Forty-two stars had been awarded in advance. At the end of a long day of competition, all six finalists had been spared two rounds.

Rares Cojoc/Andreea Matei impressed the entire judging panel in a magnificent tournament, which was accompanied by many shows and emotional moments, and won with all the dances they competed in. Dariusz Mycka/Madara Freiberga had also taken part in the World Games a week earlier and finished in third place. With live music and an excellent atmosphere, the Poles were seen in second place. With this result, they improved by two places compared to last year. The Danes Dmitri Kolobov/Signe Busk became crowd favorites during the day and were awarded GOC silver at the end.

As so often before, the Stuttgart audience showed itself from its best side and gave the finalists a standing ovation.
