Double victory for the Middle Kingdom

217 couples competed in the first round of the WDSF Open Latin Rising Star competition, which featured star couples for the first time. In the last final in the evening in the Beethovensaal, the six finalists delivered a thrilling final spurt. This ended with a double victory for the Middle Kingdom, which was also very close. In the end, Zichen Yang / Yitong Li won 3:2, relegating their compatriots Haobin Gao / Jingqian Jiao to second place. Justin Lauer / Rita Schumichin (TSC Saltatio Neustadt im TV Mußbach) were highly motivated and kept the third Chinese couple at bay in the final. They took the bronze medal with a one-point lead.
