Press Conference One Week Before the GOC

Stuttgart, August 12, 2025 – At the press conference for the German Open Championships (GOC), CEO Wilfried Scheible expressed satisfaction with the progress of preparations so far: Ticket sales are going well. Tickets are still available for the competition days Tuesday through Thursday, while only a few remaining tickets are left for Friday and Saturday.

With around 3,500 entries from 59 nations, the number of participants is at a very strong level. The 62 individual competitions vary in size but consistently offer top-tier dance sport. Highlights include:

  • The WDSF GrandSlams Standard and Latin
  • The World Masters Boogie-Woogie
  • The World Team Cup Youth
  • The City Duel Brno–Stuttgart

Germany’s Latin Vice Champions, Jacky Joos and Razvan Dumitrescu, are especially excited about the return of live music: Every evening, Boris Myagkov and his band will accompany the competitions in the Beethoven Hall – a musical highlight that will delight both participants and audiences alike.

GOC 2025 promises five days full of emotion, elegance, and international encounters – once again, Stuttgart will become the center of the dance world.
