Junior II Ten Dance

A large field of 63 couples from 20 countries competed in the second ten-dance tournament on the first day of the GOC: The Junior II couples also completed the demanding combination program and impressed the audience with strong performances. The final was dominated by couples from Eastern Europe, with one couple from Finland coming in fourth. The winners, with six dances won, were Tymoteusz Korczyk/Olga Stachowiak, who only joined the Junior II age group this year. The only couple to enter the second round with an “asterisk,” Stefan Mantu/Emiliana Procopciuc, followed in second place, four points behind. Third place went to Kristiyan Donchev/Martina Kondaklieva, who showed their strengths in the Latin section and won the jive in the final.
