GOC victory for the reigning Professional runners-up
Andre Silvestri/Martina Varadi clearly prevailed over their competitors in the six-couple final. With a gap of more than six points they won the first evening of the German Open in the Beethoven Hall ahead of Mats Smolko/Tina Bazykina, the runners-up of the 2021 World Championships. Sergiu Maruster/Anastasia Stan had finished third at their first Professional World Championships in 2023 in Chisinau. Now the former DM semifinalists of the amateurs, who have been competing for Moldova since the end of 2022, also stood on the third step of the winners' podium of the professionals in Stuttgart.
