GOLD TRAVELS TO KAZAKHSTAN
A well-filled field of couples from Europe and Asia competed in the U21 age group. Among the 76 couples, the German federation had the largest national representation with 15 couples. China entered with twelve couples, while Hong Kong and Kazakhstan – each with one couple – also represented Asia.
The gold medal is set for a long journey, as it goes to Stefan Kagadi and Tamara Belenkaya, who won all dances and brought the title home to Kazakhstan. The silver medal will also travel far – Zian Wang and Xiaoqian Wie from China placed a clear second in every dance. The current European vice champions Nicholas Spica and Carlotta Aceti secured third place. The German DanceSport Federation (DTV) was also represented in the final, with Maximilian Bier and Eveline Ishchenko finishing fifth.
