Large field of children

An astonishingly large field of 55 couples made up the Juveniles II Latin (ten and eleven years) on the last day of the GOC. The DTV had a large delegation at the start - 19 couples - but only two couples from the Schwarz-Weiß-Club Pforzheim reached the semi-finals, finishing 7th-9th (Sebastian Bier/Daniela Wilhelm) and 10th-11th (Hryhor Petrosian/Daniela Wilhelm).

The final was again a purely Eastern European affair, with the Romanians taking two places on the podium and sixth place. Iannis-Andrei Sabie-Cristel/Ana Colbu, who had already won the children's II combined tournament and finished second in the standard tournament, were delighted to win all the dances. Roman Shtepliuk/Olivia Kuziv (Ukraine) took second place in the Latin children's competition ahead of Lukas Ionut Gheorghe/Sandra Maria Vlad in third place.
