One got through

With 53 couples, the field of participants in the Senior I Standard was almost as large as in the previous year. However, only two couples from last year's final competed, leaving four places vacant in the final. Once again, no one was able to beat last year's winners: Stefano and Tatiana Manni won all five dances, securing their second GOC gold medal. With a clear lead and a score of twelve, GOC silver went to Wesley van Riel/Sigrid van Schijndel ahead of Andrea Bencivenga/Anna Drukarova, who took bronze.
