Victory for the world champions

An impressive and well-staffed field of 101 couples took part in the Youth Standard. 28 countries, but only two continents (Europe and Asia), were represented here. Three couples from the final of the 2024 World Championships had found their way to Stuttgart: the world champions Pranas Mitkus/Juste Janciunaite, the runners-up of the World Championships, Adria Hernandez Emilija Ulcinaite, and Jaime Martinez Ibáñez/Emmi Brener in fifth place. The world champions really had to fight for the GOC title - they gave up a dance to the eventual third-placed team and shared the Quickstep with Jaime Martinez Ibáñez/Emmi Brener, who finished second. Adria Hernandez/Emilija Ulcinaite followed just half a point behind in third place.

It was very pleasing from a German perspective that the German champions Dmytrii Forostianov/Helene Novalee Tilgert advanced to the final and finished in fifth place.
