World champion before European champion

WDSF Open Youth Latin

A high-class final concluded the Youth Latin competition, which was attended by 138 couples from 30 European and Asian countries. The largest delegation did not have to travel too far - the DTV was represented by 25 couples, while the second largest delegation came from China with 20 couples.

In total, there were 33 less couples at the start than last year. The lack of quantity was compensated for by high quality: In the final, the 2024 European champions took on the still reigning 2023 world champions. The decision went in favor of the world champions Vladimir Vyrleev/Maria Proshletsova in all dances, while the European champions Dimitrii Kalistov/Luna Maria Albanese came second in all dances by an equally clear margin. As at the European Championships, Nicolas-Daniel Barbosu/Iovana Iorgovan took third place. Like Romania, the DTV was also represented by two couples in the final - fifth place went to the German vice champion Maximilian Bier/Eveline Ishchenko.
