GOC-CEO Wilfried Scheible was very brief while welcoming the guests and left it to Stuttgart's mayor for security, order, and sport Dr. Martin Schairer to introduce the region's numerous guests of honor and to welcome them.

Members of the Bundestag Annette Sawade and Stefan Kaufmann were joined by several representatives of all parliamentary groups of Stuttgart's municipal council. Sport in general was represented by Andreas Felchle, president of Württembergischer Landessportbund, and Rainer Brechtken (Deutscher Turnerbund), dancesport in particular was represented on an international level by Shawn Tay, vice-president of WDSF, and Verena Sulek, director of WDSF's professional division. WLSB-president Andreas Felchle, who comes from swimming, didn't save up on praising words: "something great arose here."

DTV-vice-president Dr. Tim Rausche smoothly followed his previous speakers and praised the work of the functionaries, without them such an event wouldn't be possible and took up the designation that Dr. thomas Schairer had used to greet the DTV-president: "our phenomenal Heidi Estler." She was surprised with an award, DTV's badge of honor in silver, for her merits in dancesport as its president for three years and her former functions on federal and regional level and in the GOC's organizing committee. Rausche reminded that DTV's sports manager Michael Eichert was already awarded the badge of honor in gold two years ago and promised Heidi Estler that she would be awarded the gold one, when she reaches Michael Eichert's age.
