In an intensive and productive meeting the responsible persons of WDSF, GOC-GmbH, and DTV about the current application of the German Open Championships for hosting the "Grand Slam" competitions in standard and latin from 2018 - 2022 in Stuttgart.

All disputed points were brought to an agreement and all sides emphasized the importance and the interest to have a common event at this reliable and unique setting.

WDSF-president Lukas Hinder and his representative Shawn Tay on the side of WDSF, as well as Heidi Estler, president of Tanzsport Deutschland, and GOC-CEO Wilfried Scheible for the German Open sealed the agreement with a handshake.

The official awarding is still subject to the official resolution of the WDSF-presidium after reviewing the other applications for the "Grand Slam" series for the next five years.
