China and Thailand took the medal places of the Professional Rising Stars Latin. The couples were happy about the placings, the tournament director less so - because of the difficult pronunciation. The bronze medal went to Wang Ziming/Ying Liu, whose names were not yet too demanding for a Western European. When it came to awarding the silver medal, tournament director Harry Körner knew how to help himself: He called the gentleman and the lady was allowed to say her name into the microphone herself: Lerson Shinawat/Patoomsriwiroje Preeyanoot won silver for Thailand. With the help of Andreas Neuhaus, the winners, Chen Junan/Yang Liuquing, were called correctly and were able to step onto the top step of the podium.
The German representatives reached the semifinals and took the eighth and tenth places.
