Tomas Janonis/Santa Vlasa left 87 couples behind them and were standing on top of the winner's rostrum at the end of a long rainy day in Stuttgart. With this exception the final was firmly in the hands of the P.R. China. Therefore it isn't a surprise that second and third place were won by Chinese couples Yu Xin/Liu Wie and Yang Guang/Chen Wanwan.
