GOC Rising Stars Seniors II Standard

For the first time at the German Open Championships Rising Stars tournaments for senior age groups took place. Prerequisite was a min-number, so the couples had to be listed at the WDSF and were not allowed to be among the best first 50 couples internationally.

The chance to participate in the tournament was used by 59 couples of the Seniors II, six of them danced the last round. Four of them came from Germany. Martin Lutz/Katarzyna Rybinska were delighted with their first GOC gold medal, winning by two points from second-placed French dancers Remy and Natalya Fuchs. The bronze medal went to Martin Soutier/Monika Rothenfußer, also only two points behind second place.
