The GOC gold medal in Senior I Standard went to acting World champions Christian and Elena Bono for the third time. The competition started in the morning at 10 a.m. with 109 couples at the Reithalle and finished shortly after 10 p.m. with the six best couples at the Beethovensaal.

Csongor Balogh/Anita Szabo, the third placed of the World championship, reached the second place here in Stuttgart in front of Vitaly Rogachevsky/Oxana Skripnik. German champions Thorsten Zirm/Sonja Schwarz lost wo place in comparison to last year. The start was unfortunate with a fourth and two fifth places, but they caught up in the last two dances Foxtrot and Quickstepp and finished the competition on fourth place. On their heels were Victor Fischer/Alexandra Rehn, who danced the GOC final for the first time and were three places better than last year.
