Youth standard: 144 couples were taking part in the competition. 17 of them with "stars".

Six of them danced their final on late Tuesday evening and impressed the audience with their spectacular performance. Almost two months ago several of the couples met at the European championship  Dmitry Chelpanov/Yana Masharova, who started dancing together in November 2017, now added a GOC gold medal to their silver medal of the European championship. As at he European championship they were followed by Vladislav Untu/Polina Baryshnikova, who won silver in Stuttgart. Ilya Gasanov/Liudmila Raevskaya, who were not really important at last year's GOC now became third. They are now on place 13 of the world ranking list.
